Catching up with Nagoya 2

Sam & Meika karaoke-ing (I'm sure the wordinistas are up in arms about that one). Japanese karaoke is much different. We were in a small room with just the four of us. Much easier to do than in an entire restaurant/bar full of people you don't know.

One of the things I miss most about Japan (other than my sister, of course) were the plentiful vending machines full of a great selection of different hot & cold beverages. This was by far the best named: "Bubble Man II: The Soda Planet"

We also had the priviledge to hear Meika give a sermon on Sunday. It was one of her last sermons, since it was also the new missionary's first Sunday at the church. I believe this is the only photographic evidence of Meika giving a sermon. It is said that all other attempted pictures were ruined by odd occurrences such as film exposing itself or camera malfunctions...

Here is the beautiful (rebuilt) Nagoya castle. Evidentally someone firebombed it in the 1940's or so. Posted by Picasa
